Happy Christmas Vacation,
Every year at this time, I write a Christmas Letter. It recaps the holiday season, features highlights from the year gone by and contains a page or 2 of goals to reach for in the coming year.
I make a ritual out of it and seal it up with a kiss. I then pack it away with my decorations (right on top) and it’s how I begin my holiday season next year. I start looking forward to it in September. It’s so much fun to open it up and see if all my wishes have come true. It’s like magic, but it’s not. It’s not magic at all.
It’s hard work, intentions, creativity, blood sweat and tears. It’s giving myself permission to want what I want and go after it with all that I have. It’s coming from a place of pure gratitude, sheer trust and complete knowledge that:
“When you want something, all the Universe conspires to help you achieve it.”
~ Paul Coelho
I have never felt that more strongly than this past year. All you gotta do is be willing to dream and risk putting it down on paper so the Universe can hear it.
Do you remember the cartoon Simon and the Land of Chalk Drawings? It was one of my faves from when I was a kid and now I know why…. “Well, hello my name is Simon and the things I draw come true.” It’s all about the Law of Attraction and that is exactly what we are talking about with this letter. Click HERE to watch a 5 minute segment. There are some good lessons in these skits.
Check it out and grab one of these, or a cup of this and cozy up and write a letter to your Fairy God Mother. What do you wish for yourself, your lifestyle or your family for 2016? Here’s a hint: DREAM BIG!
If you need help executing these goals with some accountability don’t hesitate to reach out. I am here to support you.

- 3+ Pages Winter/holiday Stationary Or a "Christmas Letter Journal" would work too.
- 1 Fun Pen Aren't new pens the best?
- 1 Holiday/Wax Sticker/Seal Seal it with a kiss.
- 10 Cups Willingness to be open
- 1 Grateful Heart
- 10 Cups Guts to go for it!
- 1-5 Days Time and space to dream big
- 1-3 Holiday Candles *optional
- 1 iPod/Device Inspiring music Maybe even make a 2016 playlist for it.
- Take your time. Start to simmer your ideas as you carve out time to sit down and write. Take notes: Think back over the last week, the last month, the last 6 month, the last year.
- What comes up? What are the highlights? What works? What are the low lights? Where can you add love and improvement?
- Where can you let go? Where can you forgive? Who are you grateful for? What are you grateful for?
- How are you feeling right now? How to you want to feel a year from now? What do you want to be different? A new job? A new car? A new baby? More free time? To make more money? Pay off debt?
- Do you want to learn to play violin? How about a ski vacation? Is there a retreat you have been coveting?
- What are your goals and dreams? Do they feel too big? Un-reachable? Dream big! Do they feel un-reachable? Good! You don't have to show anyone if you don't want to, although studies show that when you tell another person, your goals are 10 x more likely to happen.
- I usually start with highlights from the year, then recap all the joy from the holiday season and the final pages are goals and dreams. There is no right way or wrong way. The ritual evolves every year for me. The key is to take the time to think about these questions and write them down. Review, release, make space and dream big.
- Give yourself permission to want what you want. You are worth it. You deserve it.
