You know that lull in the middle of the afternoon, when you feel tired and want to reach for some sort of sugary snack? Yeah… me too. One of the ways nourish myself through this is with my cranberry flush.
Food is medicine and this afternoon elixir is jam packed with good stuff…
- The 100% PURE cranberry juice (not from concentrate) is great for supporting your kidneys, cleansing your lymphatic system (your body’s trash can) and weight loss.
- The coconut water is full of electrolytes, enzymes for digestion and helps boots your metabolism.
- The lime helps to detox, alkalize and aids in digestion.
- The mint increases energy, improves skin and relieves aches and pains.
I make this up in my glass water bottle to sip on for the afternoon, or sometimes I will even enjoy it warm in the evenings.

Ingredients
- 2-3 ounces Cranberry Juice 100% pure, NOT from concentrate (Whole Foods, Trader Joes) You can also use pomegranate or red cherry.
- 2-3 ounces Coconut Water
- 3-6 ounces Filtered Water
- 2-3 wedges Lime
- 1-2 sprigs Fresh Mint

Instructions
- Become your own alchemist. (Turn common elements into pure gold.)
- Give yourself permission to experiment and make it your own.
- Make it taste good. The cranberry is very dry and will pucker you up. If it's too much, add smaller amounts and work your way up.
- Combine all ingredients in a glass, carafe, or water bottle and enjoy throughout the afternoon to fight sugar cravings, hydrate yourself and give yourself the energy you need to get the kids off the bus, finish your work for the day and get dinner on the table.
- Nourish yourself, your kidneys and your lymphatic system, because you're worth it!
