Welcome to The 2020 Energy Almanac Resources Page!
Welcome!
I’m so glad you have found your way here. This lil spot on the inter-webs is where I will be posting the recipes and blog posts referred to in The Energy Almanac month, by month. Get some tea, get cozy and cuddle up… let’s do some nourishing!

January 2020
This month is all about warming broths, soups and veggies as we nourish the kidneys and bladder while focusing on SUSTAINABILITY during this time of winter and hibernation.
Start you day with the Morning Elixir.
Add Roasted Root Veggies to your salads or prepare as a side. Another Healthy Godmother Hint: Roast a butternut squash while you’re at and make some soup!
A great boost for that mid-afternoon slump: Cranberry Flush. Note: This is also great warm!
February
As we continue through winter here in the Northern Hemisphere, we are still focusing on the kidneys and bladder which makes hydration a key area to fortify, while enjoying warming soups and broths, roasted root veggies and comfort foods.
February is already feeling super “hands on” so I’ve got lots of recipes, demo’s and even a Grocery Store Tour in store for you! 😉
Infused Water Guide: Are you drinking half your weight in ounces every day? Check out my recipe/idea guide HERE and follow the link at the bottom where I demo my most requested combo.
Here’s my Crown Chakra Shepard’s Pie to help you tap into and support the 3rd Eye and Crown Chakra energies that are at play this month.
I also want to bring your attention to the Dirty Dozen and Clean 15 to give you confidence while at the grocery store. Knowing which foods have the most pesticides and therefore you should try to buy organic (when possible) and which foods are safer to buy non-organic can get you in and out of the grocery store sooner and spending less money. (See image below.) And you can CLICK HERE for a Grocery Store Tour with me and Sharon Rose Vaznis of News Center Maine for more!
March
As you nourish your way through the bumpy transitions of Mercury in and out of retrograde and the seasons shifting from winter to spring, there’s also a call to stand in the messy (and often muddy) middle. Stay away from all-or-nothing and black-or-white ways of being in your life and nourishment practices.
There is more to support you on the 80/20 rule in your Energy Almanac, but there’s no time for the “ism” that is “perfectionism.” Get quiet. Stay devoted. Listen to your body. Tune in. Nourish…
Chia Pudding is my go to morning staple. It’s great in my Nourish Yourself Breakfast Bowl as well as my Chia Chai Latte. Make it up the night before and it’s ready for your #omegathree rich,#plantbased protein needs 1st thing.
Looking for something sweet to dull the bumpy edges? Try this Salted Caramel Chocolate Mousse … the raw cacao is so grounding and the dates give it a rich and creamy caramel flavor. Oh my gosh! It’s so good. I need to go add ripe avocados to my Hannaford to Go order! 😉
Stay nourished. The world needs your bright light! xo

April
Let’s talk protein! When all of the collective energies are at play and revealing #allthethings, we need to adjust and manifest. Powering up is often the only way to power THROUGH. In addition, the season of Spring calls for cleansing the heavy, starchy foods and toxins that have built up during the winter.
Here are some of my favorite recipes for upping my protein intake while lowering my sugar intake:
Nourish Yourself Famous Chicken Salad
May
How are you holding up? These are some pretty intense times. There is a lot of discussion this month about sustainability and preparedness. I knew intuitively that these were going to be intense times as I was writing for this book last May but I had no idea just HOW INTENSE. We need to be so gentle with ourselves and continue to find sustainable ways to nourish ourselves for these times, the the times to come. While it feels hard to plan for more than a few days at time with the rate at which things are moving, but meal prep feels like something I can control and a way to put structure into my days because now more than ever that dreaded question weighs heavy… you know which one I’m talking about… the “What’s for dinner question?” 😉 When that question has already been answered, things can feel a little lighter.
Here are some fun recipes I love this time of year:
